Frye Campus v's Frye Harness
Permalink Closed

So I have the Frye Harness and hate them. They are stiff and heavy and just no fun to wear. So I want a pair of the Campus boots but I want to know if they are heavy and stiff as well. Can those that have them please review. Also I'd love to get them some % off. Does anyone konw a sight I can order them from with a code? TIA!!!

I think I saw a pair of plain brown ones on sale on standardstyle.com (where we all got our dolce vita boots from), but I didn't check what sizes they had.

funny you should ask this question...because I'm wearing mines for the first time today (it's rainy and cold here in MD)

I don't own the harness boots so I have no point of comparison..

but I'll say this...

I don't think they are particularly anymore heavy, that some of my other rugged boots. I suspect they are lighter than the harness boots. They are quite comfy I love them.

They are a little stiff right now but I'm thinking the leather is such that it will loosen up with time..

I own a pair of Campus Fryes and I think they are a little heavier compared to my other boots, but I would think they are lighter than the Harness.

I have actually had both types.

The Harness I resold on ebay because the style was exactly like my mom's motorcycle boots (for when she and my dad go riding- its so cute.).  They were definately heavier than my Campuses.

But, that being said, Fryes do take a while to break in.  I wore my Frye's a bit last year and I barely have them broken in, the top is still stiff.

I am actually thinking that I want to sell them (not because I hate them, but I think they aren't working for me, i am short.).  They are 7.5, if you are interested pm me.
