I have to post about it because I posted so much about all my dating horrors (and not so much horrors as comedies) on ST. It was a year ago today that I went out with my boyfriend for the first time. He had frosted tips and pleated pants. Needless to say, it took awhile for me to catch on. Now his hair is all one color and a quick point to notice what type of pants the gay men in his office wore solved the pleats problem. And, more importantly, we're still together and going strong.


(whispering: the other day he said this has been the best year of his life, which is totally unlike him because i'm definitely the more affectionate one of the two.)


Okay, okay, I'm done. Thanks for letting me rant about being happy (for once). Yay!

that's so exciting.  you've come a long way from your dating excursions.  while i loved hearing about them, it's more exciting to hear how happy you are with your *kinda* new guy.

We decided not to. We both liked the idea but my place is kind of small and his is too far away from my job and our leases didn't coincide enough to get a new place. So we just decided that we could do that later - no need to rush. I'm kind of glad because my friends are a huge part of my life and now I don't feel like I have to bring him along everywhere I go. Plus he's much cleaner than I am so I might as well put off hanging up my clothes as long as possible.


Thanks everyone for the congrats! He gave me a spa gift certificate last night for several treatments (he designed the package himself so I'm only going to change a few things - hee). I'm going to get a massage, a facial, and something else. I haven't decided what yet. I'll probably post some options later on. Oh and he loved his digi camera I got him. He was debating buying one but I got him the bigger and better version of the one he was thinking about. (I told him not to fret about the cost because it was the only time I'd ever spend that much money on him. I have shoes to buy, damnit! From now on it's dvds and sporting event tickets. )
