I bought a BCBG button down black jersey material shirt in 2000 (before i worked there) when I was in highschool. it was $130 for a shirt and all my friends thought I was nuts for spending that much on a shirt. i did too, but it was just so perfect.
well, in college it was my go to shirt. i showed just the right amount of cleavage, it had awesome stripes down the front (slimming) in really cool colors (not too loud). i always got compliments on it, always got hit on wearing it, i met my last two boyfriends in it, if i spilled at the bar i could just wipe it up, etc... it was the holy grail of shirts for me.
well, a couple months ago i went to philly to see my college friends including my ex (we're friends). throughout the weekend we all crashed at various people's places. the day i had to leave, i was in a hurry and packed really fast. well, for months (since nov.) i have been looking for that shirt and i thought FOR SURE my ex stole it from me (he would do that in a kinda funny but mean way since he knows how i am about that shirt and because he loved that shirt on me). i just got back from the cleaners and the lady handed me some very old dry-cleaning with my current dry cleaning and my shirt was there!!!!
i can't even tell you how excited i was to see it!!! anyways, i am a dork for typing this and posting it, but i'm sooooo happy (and wired on coffee) that i had to get it out!!

Yay!!! That is so awesome! It sounds like a hot shirt too. When you have a piece of clothing like that and think you lost it it's the worst! One Fall I bought 2 pairs of the same boots in different colors, 1 black 1 pink. They were pointy stilletos with ruching all down the front. I loved them. Well, we rented a storage unit in between moving and I accidentaly packed my pink boots in the unit and they were IN THERE GOOD, all the way in the back. My DH said I would have to wait till after we moved into our condo to get them, by then it was summer!! So the next winter when I finally got them out I appretiated them even more (and was glad they were still in style ) Happy for you!!
AWESOME!!! thank goodness! your story totally reminds me of the last episode of sex and the city where carrie found the necklace she thought she lost. anyway, so happy for you!
