ISO old vintagey desk

Can anyone help me find this.  I'm looking for something that is in black and has a very old vintage feel, maybe a crackeled paint look.  Id also like it to have alot of curves/character.  But still just a basic desk.  Ive looked at a few furniture consignment shops with no luck, apparently they dont sell alot of desks :(  Can anyone help me or direct me where else to look?

i don't know if this is really what you're looking for, as this is a pretty basic desk, but still has a bit more character than just your average one from officemax...it doesn't have a crackly finish but the black is meant to look somewhat aged.  it's from Ballard Designs.  they don't really have anything with lots of curviness right now, but i'd keep an eye on their site or try one of their outlets if you have one nearby

Have you tried craigslist?  We did my daughter's nursery in a "shabby chic" theme and got a lot of our items there.  However, I accidentally found a huge Salvation Army and found an entire "french provincial" dresser, stand, and desk for only $60.  I would check thrift stores around your area every weekend because they get stuff regularly.  The set we found was a cream color, but we painted the furniture white.

Have you considered buying a desk in the style you want and applying a black crackle finish yourself?
