Leopard prints?
Permalink Closed

Im really liking all of these leopard prints from Macys Inc. It seems that leopard is really in style, but dont you feel that it is also a classic style that would stretch past one season? Of course, would have to try them on to be sure of fit. I have no animal prints in my wardrobe. Im liking the skirt in particular. Do you like any of these? Thoughts?

actually animal prints tend to cycle into fashion every 2 to 3 years so I'd be that if you went with something like the skirt (looks like a pretty basic cut) that you'd wear it more than say the jacket.  Thinking back animal print was huge circa 2000-2001 and then it went to one piece of your clothing or one accessory should be animal print and nothing else for a few more years.  I always stick with that rule when i wear anything and it works fine for me.

Sorry for the rambles.

I agree that leopard prints never really go out of style but you just have to be careful which piece you choose if you want it to be a classic piece you can wear for awhile.  I really like the skirt in the first picture and I think it would be something you could wear for a long time.

Absolutely a classic - remember them several cycyles back. I think all of the items you slected are very classic in nature. Accessories are always good too - I LOVE the Nine West leopard print flats Lucky featured in the Sept. issue.

I totally agree ... especially if you use the print in a subtle way (with a shoe, belt or other accessory).

It's totally classic! I think it looks best when the print is large-scale and on an accessory (I don't like it as much when it's a printed fabric... not sure why). This look, for example, is DTF:

I think it's a classic, although the fashion can wax and wane. Like everyone else said, I'd get the skirt. The jacket seems a little too loud, and the shape of the shirt is pretty big - I don't think it would last too long.

Same here.  Leopard print fabric tends to bother me a bit and I just don't know why.  I love leopard print and I like that skirt, but for me, I think I'll use it on an accessory just because I don't think leopard prints are very "me" when it's a piece of clothing.

Definitely a classic. Some seasons it's just way more popular than others. And thankfully, this season, leopard print shoes are everywhere, b/c I've been searching for the perfect leopard heels and ballet flats for years and I think I'll be able to find them. Finally!

Definitely a classic.

And, I am soooo glad it's gonna be big again this fall...since I desperately need to replace my leopard peep-toes.  The poor things are so faded now. :(
