I've been looking for the perfect black/white stripe top to invest in forever.

$138.75 with 25% off code (dominodeals)

C&C, 100% cashmere.

Dare Devil Cashmere - Black/Cream

worth the price? i'm going to the poorhouse with my recent shopping buys right now!

supercute!

but since you're on a budget, if you like it because of its design, i think you might be able to hold out for something cheaper in cotton. but if you like it because it's cashmere, i say go for it since it's a good price for cashmere (although i'm not familiar with C&C's cashmere sweaters... )

I'm going to say no, because I've seen cheaper versions of that sweater everywhere.  Express has them, H&M, Forever21, etc.  Granted, they won't be cashmere, but you didn't say that was a requirement.

Cashmere's not a requirement, but it would be really nice to have since I'd fall back on it for years as a basic. I really want a natural fabric though (with maybe a bit of spandex or whatever for stretch)

Do you know if there's anything at Express right now that's exactly like it? I'm most interested in the boat neck, relatively wide stripes, black and creme or black and white.

I swear I've been looking at F21 for the past year and nothing they have in black/white stripes is just right. They do get the stripe thing right, it's just that the color scheme is all wrong. H&M isn't set to open here for some time (hopefully in the next three months, but I'm not crossing my fingers)

If that's the case, then I say it's worth it.  Express doesn't have the exact same thing, from what I saw, they just had a lot of black and white stripes.  If you are near one, check it out.  But if you'd really like cashmere and love the neck/stripes - go for it!  It's definitely a good price for cashmere.

Oh, btw - I did find a sweater w/the same neck and black/white stripes @ H&M about a month ago.

Forgot to say get it. I think for that price you should def get it.  Plus I've been into stripes lately myself.

I say get it.  Cashmere is so beautiful and lasts forever.  It's such a classic piece that I think you'll want the nicest material possible.  Good find!

hmmm...how does the sizing run? I'm a 34D, generally a 6 on top, M in Juicy hoodies and A&F, and S in GAP.

I would think that if it is available in an xs then go with the s.  That is usually my rule of thumb and it rarely fails me.  Let me know how it is.  I love the green/blue version but am unsure if I really need a cashmere sweater where I'm at.

Aurora, I live in Los Angeles. If we wear cashmere here it can be worn anywhere.

I really like the green and blue too...it would be really pretty on you.

I think it's worth it-- you can wear that sweater with a bunch of different outfits and that is a fantastic price for cashmere. Get it!
