I know its early, but im on the hunt for a winter jacket.  I dont have time to shop once classes begin, so id like to get this sorted now.  I dont really know what im looking for, im open to all options, as long as its warm :) Heres a few i found on ebay, just searching around, but am open to other options, and opinions on these two.

Is the first one this Victorias Secret coat?


  I saw it earlier and thought it looked nice.  The second one just reminds me of the tweed trend 2-3 years ago.

I wouldn't recommend a VS coat.  I got the plain pink wool version of that tweed coat you posted and was really disappointed.  The fit and quality were very poor IMO, and I returned it.

I would recommend banana republic.  I got the most wonderful camel colored wool coat there last year.  Definitely a classic, and it's well-made.

Not to be too practical or anything () but how cold does it get where you are? I like the shorter one better - the BR - because I love that length coat for the weather here in Texas. I can get much more use out of it than a longer coat.

I love J Crew coats.  They only have a few on their site now but I'm sure if you wait a month or so, they'll have more selection.  You can get this one lined with thinsulate:


 


I also really like the BR pink tweed coat you posted.
