Usually this is a no-brainer for me but when you KNOW that someone is selling to meet pressing medical bills and the item arrives with (3) holes AND the seller specified there were no holes, rips, stains ect. would you contact and ask for the reweave costs anyway? I feel bad for this person but on the other hand, the costs add at least $15 to the item. Not what I expected...am I being a cheapskate or something like it to want to ask for a price adjustment? What would you do?

I would ask for the money. I understand they're in a tight situation, but that doesn't give them license to misrepresent things and take advantage of other people.

I think $15 is very generous of you to ask as a refund.  I wouldn't feel guilty about why the seller was selling stuff because you never know if it is for real or not but even if it is true they should represent the sweater in the condition that it is in.

Thanks ladies, I did write and thank her for shipping quickly, explained the problem and cost. I asked her what her thoughts were rather than outright asking for the reweave cost.

I hate stuff like this, I mean I could pay for it easily and she maybe can't but Aurora your point about representing the true condition of something is so important for sellers. There is NO Way she could have not seen the holes, two of them are so close together that it's going to be one big hole at the first drycleaning. She actually offered to dryclean it before selling in the listing, maybe she did know about the holes and could pawn it off on the cleaner leaving her listing text as true. Hmmm.
