Ok, I've been watching these Paul & Joe boots on eBay for a couple of days. The auction ends in an hour. There are currently no bids and the starting price is $200.
I find myself strangely drawn to these boots, but they're GOLD. They're too over the top, right?
I've looked at them too long and can't see clearly anymore. Help, what should I do?
Totally depends on your budget and style, but I think that this is a "pass". To me, $200 minimum is too much to pay for a pair of boots that I could only wear now and then. That being said, I'm sure that they would make a big statement on the times that you would wear them!
Too over the top? Well... I couldnt wear them and be comfortable- but you- you could make them not only work, but look great. Do you hesitate because of this- dont- you have been looking at them for a couple of days, so obviously you really want them. I think that they are totally cool and cant wait to see what you end up doing with them if you get them.
I definitely say no...I am in no way bashing your ability to rock said boots, but for $200, I don't know if its worth the risk. If they were cheaper, you could have a fun couple nights with them. But I don't think it's worth the money at all.

I really really love them and I think they're very special...that said, I think that distressing makes gold a lot more wearable. I think Marc Jacobs did a wonderful distressed gold knee high boot a year or two ago. Maybe look out for that on Ebay?
