I purchased a (non-returnable) dress, and I guess I should have checked the tag first, because it says, "spot clean only".

It's a mixture of polyester and spandex. Is it really true that I can't wash or dry clean this dress??

oh my, that sounds ridiculous.

Maybe someone at the dry-cleaners would know?

Maybe it is the dye used and not the fabric because I have a few poly/spandex dresses and they are machine washable in cold on delicate and then hang dry.  I love how easy to care for they are.
