Can you ladies help me?

Ok, so I am going to a bridal shower next Saturday. I need outfit recommendations.

I will most likely need somthing from the maternity stores since my regular pants are already too tight. But here is the kicker. We haven't told anyone yet, so something that doesn't look overtly like I am pregnant would be great so we can keep it a secret a little longer.

Oh, and I wear an x-large, or size 16.

Is that even possible?

Thanks in advnace. Will check  back in tonight.

Hmmm...  I think getting wearing pants from a maternity store wouldn't work.  If you get them to fit you now, they won't fit you later on.  Maybe you can find a dress w/ an empire waist that is a little looser around your middle.  You could try maternity stores for something like that, but I think you could find a nice empire waist dress in the misses department.

OR, maybe an elastic waist knit skirt and a wrap or empire waist top.

I wouldn't do maternity yet, I would get a skirt with elastic waist and an empire waist top, and the plus to that is you'll probably be able to wear them again post partum.

Here's some ideas:

ECI Border Print Tunic (Plus)Tuberose Print Top (Plus)

Caslon Crinkle Skirt (Plus)

Or you could do a dress, which you should be able to wear for the first couple of months as they're more forgiving and you can just add a cardi/sweater if it's cold.

Robbie Bee Sleeveless Multi Tier Dress (Plus)

i agree w/cricket and FP, skip the maternity and look for an elastic waistband skirt and/or empire waist top. you'll get plenty of use out of them as your belly grows and they'll be great after you have the baby.

I love this!

What about this with some elastic waist dark wash jeans? Casual, but still dressy. I would need some new shoes (none of my nice onces fit anymore ) I would love a pair of black suede low heel pumps. They would also go with the dress I bought for the wedding.

Sounds cute, Irene.  I think the color would look great on you!
