Man the dresses are gorgeous right now...

Sigh. Someone buy them so I can live vicariously through you.

I agree, they have some absolutely gorgeous dresses right now, but the prices are way out of my league!

I love this one:

i love that second dress!!

side note- we used that model, Darla, in our last show and i thought she was really pretty and sweet.  She mispronounced "haute" when she said she did "haute couture" in paris.  Reminded me of america's next top model and how tyra always ridicules the girls that don't know the fashion lingo.

That such a cute story! I love that even people in the industry mispronounce things.

That dress is stunning.  If only i had an event, but alas in NW Arkansas i will never have an event.

The antrho near me doesn't have any of the dresses on the web site. It's so annoying.

I'm devastated that this is so expensive.  I really wanted to get it for an October wedding but I about passed out when I saw the price.  It's perfect

Oh T, why did you have to go and do that?  Now I have to revise my fall wish list [furiously scribbles]. ;)  Gorgeous dresses. *sigh*

Actually this has been bothering me for awhile. The prices there are becoming outragoues. Now I guess It doesnt bother me when a designer dress cost that much BUT-

I have found (and stock) Many anthro labels in my store. And I can tell you I am always shocked when I see the wholesale prices and what they mark things up too. Many items are a 500% markup!!!

last year we carried one of the blouses they carried. We charged $58 - they charged $128.

Just pisses me off that so many people get ripped off and dont know it.

Just my 2 cents ...

I agree...It stinks because for a LOT of people that don't have access to multiple boutiques in major cities/metro areas Anthro is as close to designer as they can coneivably get.

I remember that I was seeing April...May tops (carried at Anthro) at a local boutique on Sunset (it's really posh and celeb-ridden) for at least 50% less than I see them at Anthro REGULAR price.

I hate to see so many people cheated.

I also think that quality of some of their stuff is on par with forever21.

If it is any consolation, I visited a 'high-end' Anthro (The Grove, Los Angeles) this weekend to check out some of these dresses IRL.

I found one of them. I am happy I tried it on because while it fits great in the back, I think I look homeless from the front.

Oh well...that's $378 I won't be spending on an unlined thin slik dress that I'm sure any of you sewers could make for $25.

The dress is two rectangles swen together with ties at the waist. I am serious.
