Holy sh-t, I can't believe someone paid $326.05 for a pair of SHORTS. Johnson shorts (which are also ridiculously priced) don't even cost that much. WTH?

the only thing I can figure, is that if she has a buyit now price that high and she takes offers otherwise, she's not bound to ship them out if she doesn't get enough. I know that's what a reserve price is for, but I don't know...

So far from the feedback it looks as this person has yet to pay for them. And let's see, winning bidder has 7 feedbacks, 2 of them being negs from not paying! I don't think the seller will get her shorts money.
but the losing bidder still bid up to $320... and she has all positive feedback so she doesn't seem like a flake... I don't even remotely understand this! Must think of a smart-ass question...
I had to chime in after coming back to this thread and reading that the seller did not actually intend to list this at $30 or even $.30. I was incredulous and a little outraged at the price gouging (supply and demand, I guess), so this was my question (playing off one of you saying that they must have been made with gold threads)
"Were these made by Rumplestilskin himself?"
I loved that story as a kid and even though my question was not funny, I really just want to annoy her.
Her response:
"It's spelled Rumpelstiltskin and you can bid if you like."
I don't give a crap that I misspelled the name. It has been 23 years since I read that story. Trick. I'm going to respond.

The seller and I have actually been having a somewhat interesting conversation on capitalism. She was inspired by the other auctions where "rich folk" have paid over $300 and some times closer to $400 for similar pairs of previously worn AE shorts. She said that is what tempted her and did state that the shorts did not contain any magical properties, as I suggested.
I still think she smokes crack.

I can't hate on her b/c I'm too busy hating on the people who actually bought the damn thing for that much. Hey if I had a pair I'd go post them right now for $300! I just would never think that anyone would pay that much.....
