My heart is full of joy. I am going to be here a whole week while DH attends a conference. I signed up too and may attend a session or two--but why when I can shop all day?
I was last here three years ago and had little time to shop.
Today I went to Sephora, Saks, Searle, Stuart Weiztman (which now has a store in SF I learned) and David Yurman. Had lunch at Bergdorf's, poked my head in Mexx, Anthropologie and BR. Much more to be done. I didn't really shop Bergdorf's.
I love the streets, love people watching, love the tourists, even love the "ladies who lunch."
Okay, I admit I am looking at the same lines I shop at home, but here there is a huge selection.
So far I have only bought a pair of Theory jeans and a tank top on sale, a Tahari sweater that goes well with a Tahari skirt I love that I have been wearing for two years, a lipstick and two pairs of SW shoes. There is a ring in the David Yurman store that has my name on it. I don't need another ring--but it is calling, calling . . .
Now I have to go do my exercises for my feet. (Falling metatarsal arch and plantar fascitis that i am feeling today.
By the way, we left San Jose early Saturday morning--got right through security. We went two hours early for nothing, but maybe the crowds got worse later. No one looked in our carry on bags. I could have taken my lip balm with me after all.
