How much does it cost to fix a zipper?

The red and white Anthro dress from this summer is on sale at my store in my size but the zipper is broken.  The price is around $60 as is (although I'm thinking of negociating with them to see if that will work...heh), but I'm wondering how much it would be to fix the zipper or to replace it altogether.  Has anyone had this done?  Thanks!

Is it an "invisible" zipper?

I had one replaced completely and it was $20 - but that was an over-priced place, so you could probably get it done for less.

I have had zippers fixed before at my seamstress and it cost me about $8-$15.  HTH!

The cost is going to vary based on where you live, but it shouldn't be more than $20. 


I would definitely try to see if they can give you a better price.  I'm always trying to swing a deal on slightly damaged clothing.  Anthro usually will discount about 20%.  Honestly tho, I think $60 is a great price for the dress even if it will cost a bit to fix the zipper.


You could always bring it to your tailor for an estimate and return it if it's going to be more than you want to pay.
