ok so here it is:

on sale from 159 to 111.  free shipping on everything right now by the way.  is it worth it?  and do i need another dress?  and does anyone else feel like they're in some kind of race against time w/ the shopbop sale?  like i'll click on something, go to put it in my cart and then it will be out of stock!  sheesh!

hmmmm...

my velvet bubble skirt is in the same fabric. the fabric is very nice (lyocell and modal may be two of my favorite fabrics EVER) and it wears amazingly well, even if you throw it into the wash.

i feel like it's a 70 dollar dress, not a 119 dollar one. but if you don't have one just like it, what the heck...velvet's dress usually fit really well.

i fully agree.  especially since we got those rachel pally dresses for $70 each at the sample sale last saturday.  and i feel like this dress would be another one of those.  and you know how much i love those dresses i'm just trying to figure out if i really need another one.  but then again the rp ones are cream and green, it would be nice to have a black, don't you think?  oh and i'm glad you're familiar w/ velvet--i don't own anything from them.

sooo....what should i do?

hmmmm, I wouldn't spend $119 on it, but that's just me being cheap. I start wincing at dress prices when they go over $70. It's definitely different than the ones you got already, so if you had the money and wanted a black dress to chill in and wear out I'd get it. It should wear really well in the wash...my bubble skirt is the same color and feel as it was the day I bought it.

I do have a black Velvet dress in their regular cotton which I got for $25. I have found it to be a nice last minute dress to use as a go-to when I'm totally lost about what to wear.

I think it's a great price for a very sexy dress. I say get it! You can get a ton of wear out of it.

it came and i LOVE it!  it's the softest, most flattering fabric, the keyhole neckline is sexy but not slutty and i got compliments all day long!  woohoo!

but i was thinking i needed shoes like the ones the model is wearing?  any ideas?  actually let me start a new thread on this topic...
