Okay I'll play Devil's Advocate there.

1) You just ordered that purple Sandra Roberts one, which is the same *general* idea as this one. Different color, but the suede/leather trim part is similar.

2) If you wait a couple months, other lines will be coming out with plummy colors. I've heard that Anna Corinna and Hayden-Harnett are both coming out with plummy colors for fall. You might find something non-suede then.
