Random thing -- I just had someone on the street ask me for directions to Sala the othern night, but I didn't know where it was.

They both look good! I wonder if Sala would be too loud -- it mentioned the DJ spinning on Thursday nights? But I haven't been to either so I have no real preference.

pipa is always a good option - they definitely would be able to accomodate a large party.

when i went to tia pol there was 5 of us and we sat at a table right near the bar - we didn't have reservations, but we also got there pretty early (around 6 i think)

so, now i don't know if i can come!! boo :( after this work yankees game thing we apparently have to go to another party thrown by our company - hopefully there is a somewhat of a break and i'll stop by for a drink!

I think I'm open. My friend and I were looking for a good tapas restaurant, so I'm sure we'll both be happy with either rec. I'll let you guys be the judge, since y'all know the area/restaurants better than I do.

hi ladies? sorry i have been out of it the past few days. what is the plan? did we finalize a place?

i have never been to pipa but the two times i have been to sala it was pretty loud.. but it was also well after 10pm that i was there. i have also never been downstairs at sala so i have no idea what that's like.

I called Tia Pol and got a recording which said that they are closed for vacation until tomorrow so that might be cutting it close in terms of making plans.

I was able to make a reservation at Pipa for 10 people at 7:30. It seemed like they had a few other big parties already booked so I'm not sure how easy it will be to change the time. They definitely couldn't do 8pm.

Please let me know if this doesn't work for anyone because I had to give them my cc# to reserve the table!! Also I forgot to ask whether they will seat people before the entire party has arrived but hopefully everyone can make it there on time.

The reservation is under my name - Cecilia.

I know that Monica said she had a conflict and I wasn't sure if Joceybaby can definitely come so I figured I would just make the reservation for 10 and hopefully if that number changes they can accomodate us.

I just figured I would call around to see what our options were and since Pipa seemed somewhat booked already I thought I should jump on it.
