I bought this dress on e-bay and it isn't quite right but I think it has potential.  It is a nice silk but is a little too low in the neck and the lining is a fine white silk so it is a little too see through.  I thought of putting a cami under it and using a belt that went with it but if it was a darker color it would show through everywhere.  I guess I could wear a slip but don't even know if I own one anymore.  Any ideas on how to salvage this dress?  Or should I write it off?

I think it's cute - I would just buy a slip. I bought one recently at Macy's and have found it to be extremely useful. The top has a slight lace trim and it seriously looks like a cami, so I don't mind if it peeks out from wrap dresses.

My only problem with it is that it looks kind of baggy on the top... I know you bought it on ebay, but I feel like a size smaller would look better

I think a belt would look cute with this dress

Thanks Kitty.  I was thinking it needed some color too but maybe I could do that by adding a belt and jewellery.  I have a nice pink belt that I tried with it and I thought it looked a lot better but the neckline needed help more.  I thought the longer sleeve would make it work for fall too but maybe not with the lightness of the fabric.


so many problems.  I don't think this was one of my best choices.

It looks baggy to me too. I think you could find something more flattering to your figure.
