Okay, my DH and I just booked trip to LV for later in the month. I need help compiling a wardrobe.
I know it still will be really hot there and I will be in and out of the casinos. I need cute shoes but also a comfy stye too since I know I will be walking a lot! Also, should I pack jeans and pants to just keep it to skirts and shorts?
Also, can anyone give me info on the Wynn? That is where we are staying...
The Wynn isn't within walking distance of the Strip, so you'll probably be cabbing it down there. There's plenty of walking there, mind you but just an fyi.
Also bring layers because it can super chilly in the casinos and nice and toasty outside. I'd pack some beaters and cardis to be on the safe side. Have fun!
I decided that I will be taking mostly summer dresses and skirts. I will wear them with flip flops during the day and if I need to look a little more dressed up I can just change into my nice sandals. I also realized it will be easier to pack and wont take up too much space.
And like blubirde suggested I am also taking a couple of cardis to have with me just in case.
Actually, the Wynn is on the strip. I stayed there during Spring Break this year. It's on one end of the Strip, across from Treasure Island and right next to the Venetian.
It is GORGEOUS! I loved staying there. If you enjoy Japanese food, definitely eat at Okada.

That's true, it's technically on the Strip but I meant it's not within walking distance of the majority of the hotels. Well at least not for me. You might have no problem whatsoever. I was also thinking you should bring a bag that's big enough to hold "stuff." It seems whenever I go to Vegas I always end up carrying around all this junk - souvenirs, matchbooks, etc. It helps to have something that will hold it all.

That's true-- you might not want to walk if you're wearing any sort of *fun* shoes. I was shlepping around in flip flops and flats during the day so I didn't mind walking but we cabbed it at night when I had my heels on.
