Sorry for the GIANT pictures...But I have to do these beauties justice. Should I get them? They're vintage...I can't stop thinking about them, but am I going crazy, or are these as cool as I think they are?
I think they're cool, and I have shoes with heels like that, and for me, I don't find them any more uncomfortable than other shoes I have that are that high.
they appear to be very well made and unique.
yeah, the enamel lips are different, but if you love them and they're haunting you (key!) go for it! just imagine what a conversation starter these would be...
other plusses are:
1. it makes it easy for people to kiss your feet
2. if you kick your boss in the ass, it would be the same as kissing your boss' ass, right?

The shoes are vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Couture. Yup, those are enamel lips. The heel is a little over 4". I would wear them with jeans, my beautiful white Wendy Hil dress, a jean skirt...the list goes on... These shoes show little to no wear.
Does anyone have experience with the fit/comfort of YSL shoes? These are a 38, and I wear a 7 1/2. 37 in Marc Jacobs is too tight for me, so I'm guessing I'm probably a 38.
ok, I suspected they were high-end designer - they look it.
YSL for me is always small... I typically wear a 9, and a 40 is too narrow, but the length is good. if you have feet on the narrow side, a 38 should work...
even though a lot of people may find these unconventional (they are, and that's what's great about them) go with what floats your boat - and these obiously do... I say go for it.

Personally, I'm not a fan. *but* if you can't stop thinking about them, get them! I've made that mistake way too many times - not deciding to get something until it's too late
