Natural waist belts?
Permalink Closed

I'm loving the natural waist belts, and only started incorporating them into my wardrobe a few months ago. I have a black, wide elastic one, and will soon have a beautiful turquoise, but would like to get a few more. Does anyone have suggestions of B&M stores or sites that carry a good selection of natural waist belts? I would love to find a red patent, white leather, and woven brown belt.

As a sidenote: How long do you think this trend will last? I think it works super well on my body, so I'll probably stick with it even after it dies out, but just curious...

I've been doing it for over a year. I think it's more in vogue now, but IMO no one is going to call you unstylish for defining a small waist afterwards. It's flattering and IMHO no one should say that flattering = unstylish.

Forever 21 has a nice red patent (real!) leather belt right now for $10.80.

I love natural waist belts - they really help define curves/shape.

My favorite one is from Rampage, but I have some from F21, Express, H&M, and even target.

HTH!

Love this look too.  Most of my belts are vintage from eBay.  I just searched "wide belt" "wide leather belt" in 70s and 80s category.  i haven't paid more than $10 for any of them.  My fave is about 3.5 inches wide -- it's a weaved cream fabric of some sort with a black faux croc buckle.  It is ultra-flattering; gives me a waist even though i don't really have one.  i wear it with everything from long tees and skinny jeans to shorts and even button downs and pencil skirts.

I too love this trend! I think it is very flattering on womens body and love how these belts can transform a blouse or dress. This trend will be around for sometime. I own a clothing store, so when I go to market to buy my merchandise I see what will be in style 6 months in advance. I can tell you that this style belt is being shown thru all of the febuary 07' collections.

As far as who carries them - several stores. Anthropologie.com has some cute one, nordstrom.com got some great leather styles. I carry a few brands in my store. I think you will start to see alot of retailers with this style!

Hope this helps!
