Hey girls--I live in Egypt now but will be living with my parents in Fort Worth from October to January. I am flying there to have my baby (due on November). So, I hope I can join you guys! Dallas might be easier for me but I love Austin and might be able to go if my 8 month pregnant body can tolerate the drive (which it should, it's only 3 hrs away), if not for the weekend at least for the day. So count me in!

I would come if it is in Dallas. Austin would be a bit further and make it harder for me to go. So decided when you want and where and I will let you know from there.

Okay, so it seems like Oct. 14 will work for most (blubirde, hope you can make it, after all), so let's lock that date in unless one of you has a conflict and proposes another weekend for us to meet. I looked at hotels in both Austin and Dallas (in case some of us would want to make it a weekend/overnight thing), and the rates are better here (not to mention the shopping should you decide to do an excursion). Also, I think it would be nice for us to be accommodating to alb since she is preggo, and although she is a sweetie and wouldn't mind driving to Austin, I know firsthand that it is not fun to take a road trip (even a mini one) when you are several months pregnant. So, unless anyone objects, let's officially state that the TX girls will meet on Oct. 14 in Dallas.

Okay please don't accomodate me girls! I would rather the location be decided by a majority and I am more than happy to go to Austin--seriously!! I just want us to choose the city that will create the most turnout. Not to hijack your plans Misty--I appreciate you taking the lead on this--I just don't want to be the determining factor on this (I feel bad!). Anyway we can just take a vote right now??

I'm sorry. I just thought that since no one really cares where we meet up, we could just do it in Dallas. Initially, we said that majority rules, so that can stand.

Oh Misty--please don't apologize! That was very sweet of you and I appreciate you thinking of me. Whatever you guys want to do is great with me. If noone really cares, then Dallas sounds good. Either way, if we are taking a vote mine is for Dallas, but I'm still interested in Austin as well. So, it looks like we have 2 votes for Dallas. Anyone else want to vote now?

October 14 sounds great. Perhaps we should set a deadline for the girls to vote on either Dallas or Austin. That way everybody has the oppoutunity to vote on the location, and we can reserve a hotel room. What do ya think?

Of course, since I'm here in Austin myself - I vote for Austin! I'd make the best (or try to!) hostess/tour guide person! LOL Since I shop a lot - I know of a LOT of places! LOL And to eat as well!
