Too much paneling in one room?
Permalink Closed

Sort of a variation on another post I made, but I'm wondering if this will be too much:

I'm going to hang fabric panels on my wall, behind my couch like this:

I'd also like to do some sort of window curtain/treatment, but is putting window panels up going to be too much fabric/paneling in the room?  I know the window ones would be sheer and either white or a light gray...

I think you should do a black and a white panel on each side of the window, hung all the way up to the ceiling or at the same level as you hang the one behind the sofa.  But pull the window ones all the way to the side and not spread out.  maybe hang the black ones just outside the window frame and the white ones inside so that the black ones will always frame the window while you can draw the white ones if needed.

does that make sense?
