I don't know if this should go in Shopping, but anyways,  I always hate when I buy shirts and sheets and pants and after a couple of washes the material starts to pill.  How can you buy something and know it won't pill.  I hate pilly material.  Yuck.    TIA

Acrylic shirts and sweater ALWAYS pill for me. I avoid Acrylic like the plague.


Sometimes Poly pills too... but it usually takes longer more wear before I start noticing.

With sheets shoot for a higher thread count.I will not buy anything under 300 but here lately it's been 400+.

I've never heard of sheets pilling.  As for sweaters, I stay away from acrylic, and super fluffy fibers like angora.
