I'm going to Charlotte on Friday and will be there for the weekend (then I'm heading to Myrtle Beach for another 5 days). I'll be doing some shopping since my auntie looooves to take me shopping. I'm from Canada, so we don't have Nordstrom's, Neiman's, etc, so I'll definitely be going to those, but is there anywhere in Charlotte that I should try to hit up shopping-wise? Or Myrtle Beach for that matter?
ETA: I haven't been posting much lately, but for those of you who do remember, my username was Miss Callie before, and I just recently changed it. Just an FYI in case you were unsure of who I am/was (but if you don't remember me then it doesn't matter either way:))

my dad grew up in charlotte- i dont think it has the best shopping per se, but my granddad always took us to southpark mall- it is pretty upscale for a mall i spose. Not groundbreaking, but I think it has a lot of good american mall stores, anthropologie, etc.
Southpark is a good place to start. It's an upscale mall where all the college age girls get dressed up to go to the mall on weekends. It has a Nordstrom, a Neimans, Anthropologie, Kenneth Cole, Kate Spade, Tiffany, and a bunch of other stuff. Lucky magazine did a whole section on North Carolina shopping a few months ago. Here's the link to the stores they listed: http://www.luckymag.com/cityguides/north_carolina
Concord Mills is also nearby, which is a large outlet mall. They have a ton of stores: http://www.concordmills.com/static/node357.jsp It's been awhile since I've been there, but I remember it being pretty big.
Most of my time spent in Myrtle Beach was in a drunken haze every spring during college, so I don't really remember much about the shopping there, except they also have a big outlet mall. I'm pretty sure anyone there will be able to tell you how to get there.
Hope you have a good trip! By the way, it's reeeeeeeeeeally hot here right now, so pack accordingly.
Definitely hit Southpark. Unfortunately Neiman's isn't opening until this fall. As far as Myrtle Beach, they have two different outlet malls. One of the outlet malls has an off 5th saks outlet, but I've never been to that one, so I don't know if it's any good or not.
MB also has a mall that opened about 2 or 3 years ago, i forget the name though, suppose to be the largest in south carolina or something. As well as the two outlet malls that were mentioned, Tanger outlets.
