Pleae help me find a dress for a wedding..

I have a wedding to attend in a couple of weeks & am looking for a dress to wear to the reception.  The wedding is going to be in Colorado at a mountaintop resort.
With all the sales out there, I'm sure there's a great dress out there waiting to be bought :)  But I have been looking and have not found anything in my size that I like!!  I'm starting to panic that I won't find anything in time.

Details: I'd like something fab, modern and unique, & preferably not full-length.  I'm hoping to keep it around $200 but am flexible if the dress rocks.  Am kind of wanting a LBD (I kinda like the one Mischa is wearing in the bebe ads), but it's not a requirement.  I'm 5'5 and a size 0/2.  Oh, and I would rather not spend $200 on a mall dress.  Worse comes to worse there's a dress at WH|BM that I sort of like & it's only $100.

Vanessa, not sure if you can make it down to the city but Nicole Miller is moving and all their dresses are 50%-70% off. I would definately make a trip if you could.

Thanks ladies, you are all so awesome & have given me some great ideas. 
Collette, thanks for the tip. I read it too late or I would've tried to go there today.   I doubt I'll have time during the week, but I just might give them a call.  I like a lot of Nicole Miller dresses.
I went to the mall today and tried on a bunch more dresses.  I tried on this dress at bebe, and really liked the fit.  It was not as short/tight on me as on the model, but it was nice and fitted.  I wish the fabric was a little dressier though.  I think I would like something fitted like that, and preferably strapless.  Has anyone seen anything close, maybe in satin and under $250?

I have this Nicole Miller dress in black Nicole Miller Stretch Satin Slipdress


and I love it. it's very very flattering on. I found the black to be alot dressier than the red, gold or turquoise (I liked the fit so much i tried all the colors on). Mine was for a wedding too. HTH
