i need help buying a few last pieces for my trip to europe. we are going the first two weeks in september. a couple of things that are on my wish list are:
traveling pants. preferable black, grey or navy. i would like ones that would be super comfy and don't wrinkle.
comfy shoes. those of you who know me- i own no flats. this is gonna be a hard one- does anyone have any recommendations for super comfy flats that are still slightly dressy looking? i just don't want them to scream AMERICAN... i prefer to blend into the home crowd when in europe.
some easy dresses. i was thinking F21 might be the spot for this? can anyone confirm or recommend other places?
anything anyone else can recommend as a MUST HAVE item? please post below!
thanks!!!
p.s. HALLEYBIRD- if you happen to open this thread- could you post your thread on when you went earlier this summer and we were helping you pack? i tried to search for it but couldn't come up with anything... THANKS!
off the top of my head, my suggestion is start with packing your favorite clothes. I would also look at wedge shoes vs. flats in black. Another must take for me when I travel is my black pashmina (use as a blanket on the plane, a shawl for cool evenings, a scarf if you are up in the mountains or if the weather freakishly goes super cold (it happens!)

thanks D. good suggestions. I already pack the things you suggested on my regular weekly work trips. added bonus! i am a LIGHT packer... aka i rewear items religiously some people think its weird but i don't care... if i have to schlepp it through airports, buses, taxis, car rental places and the like, i am going to take the least amount of stuff possible!!!
i really need some pants and shoes... those 2 are my biggest dilemnas!
I have these shoes in gold and love them. They are so comfy because they are built on a nike air base. I don't know what size you wear, but they are on sale at Cole Haan. They are tts.
When I went, I lived in my Target ballet flats (I put double insoles in them) and these shoes:
Honestly, as long as you don't wear something like these, you won't scream "tourist." But they seem to know if you're American no matter what you wear.
The pashmina is a GREAT idea. I used mine all the time.

au contraire ma souer!
i prided myself on blending in when i lived there. i was constantly stopped and asked for directions by locals... which sucked b/c i never knew where they were looking for was!
what will probably be my issue is my BF... he lived in London and could probably pass for a local there but he'll stick out in paris for sure!
i went looking for the pumas HB posted and found these:
what do we think? comfy? easy to walk in? fit? my other pumas i have i think i got a 1/2 size too small and they rub badly. should i size up in these as well? they are similar to the style HB posted but slightly different.
-----> then the only other thing i need suggestions on are pants. i would prefer comfy cotton type pants that i could dress up or down. i want a black pair and possibly a grey pair too.
