Seeing that red Anthro dress in the weekday shopping thread made me remember that I seen this in a catalog I got this last weekend:



$139 from Boston Proper (there's a ST link)


I'd totally get it if I still worked.  Anyway, thought maybe I could enable someone else to get it

I saw exactly the same dress at forever 21.  they came in brown and black.  just exactly the same.

I have exactly the same dress from F21 in black!! I got it awhile ago (I think it was $30?) so it might not still be in stores. Sad!

cute! The Forever21 version is really cute, but it's above knee-length on me, which I don't want. This is a good alternative!

Please give a link to the F21 dress.  I gasped when I saw that dress in Boston Proper catalog, too but didn't want to spend $139.

Unfortunately I don't think the F21 dress is up anymore, I got mine at least a month or two ago. Halleybird I can't believe it's above the knee on you—I'm such a shortie... it's much longer on me, haha. The good news is, the Boston Proper one will hold up much longer, and I think this is a really classic dress that will definitely come back in style again and again. My cheapie version is already falling apart, boo.

yeah, my sister returned hers because the quality wasn't good. They had like 10 different versions of this dress. These are kind of similar:
