Anybody been?  Have any recommendations?  I'm going in late November for 2 weeks.  Staying in Accra for at least a few days for a Rotary conference and passing out Polio vaccinations.  Then I would like to do some traveling around Ghana (or even to nearby countries).  Any recommendations on what to see?

I've never been, but we have a sister office in Ghana that I talk to on an almost daily basis.  If you'd like, I can ask them what they recommend?

Thank you Escrime, that would be great!  We'd prefer to stay away from big fancy resort type tourist things.


I have a friend who just returned from Ghana, but his recommendations would tend towards that hippie compound, mind-bending plants, dancing under a full moon kind of tourist stuff.  LoL
