Our Log in Date to China was August 23rd last year….(well really August 2nd until two months ago when China changed a whole bunch of Log in Dates to August 23rd.!!!----uugh!)

They just finished sending pictures and medical records through July 13th so it is inching closer everyday.

Cross your fingers that we will get our little girl’s picture or referral September 29th or so if they speed up by a couple of days, otherwise we will miss the cutoff for Sept and get her referral and picture at the end of October. Then we would travel in December sometime. Which would be a fantastic Christmas present!!! We just can’t wait to see her cute little face and hold her for the first time. I dream about it sometimes.

We are trying to stay busy training for the Chicago Half Marathon to raise money for our trip and for her orphanage (for the little girls who don’t get adopted.) We wanted to get some shirts or Lance Armstrong plastic bracelets printed up. Any ideas? We were thinking Race To China --- Chicago Half Marathon

but does anyone have any better ideas? Or have any cute ideas for a tee shirt? Or know a site to get tee shirts or bracelets printed? I was thinking the skyline of Chicago to China or something.

We have decorated her room and we want to start a blog to journal our trip and to keep friends and family informed of what is going on. Any tips here on how to start a blog? We wanted to be able to post photos and such. Here is an example.

I started a knitting blog (i know I'm a nerd, don't judge

) on blogger.com & it's super duper easy. I am not familiar with the other blog sites so I don't know how it compares but I've never had problems with it.

Also, I have a friend that is also adopting from China - she has a blog on blogger too but sometimes hers includes knitting stuff

They keep getting delays & are really frustrated....I'm sure she wouldn't mind me sharing.
