Has anyone seen it yet. Don't worry... I'm not going to give anything away (not there's anything worth telling). I was VERY disappointed. I didn't think it was anything like his other movies... all of which I loved.

I also wasn't expecting M. Night to play such big part in the movie. As far as acting, I think the guy from sideways (Paul Whatever) who played Cleveland was great in his role but managed to show what little talent M. Night has as an actor.

What did everyone else think?

i didn't see the movie, but i did want to say, that i hate when the writers/directors feel like they need to have a role in every movie that they do.  it is very irritating. steven king does this too.

i liked the idea of the story.  i just didn't like the way M. Night put it together.  Although, it might have something to do with the Disney pullout and the Warner Bros step in... who knows what it originally was like before that all happened.

anyway, i was also dissapointed with M. Night's performance in this movie.  I much prefer when he has basically a walk-on role.

Paul Giamatti (sp?) was fabulous... I felt bad that everyone in the audience kept laughing when he would stutter...

I didn't even think the previews looked good. I think most of his movies are slow and boring.
