I wonder if they have to be Banana Republic pants...it doesn't say on the flyer. It just says to bring in a pair of gently used pants for Banana Republic to donate to Goodwill.

i doubt they need to be banana... think they're just trying to encourage donations in general.

I was wondering the same thing myself, so I just called BR customer service. The store relations department said you can bring in any pair of pants, any brand, as long as they're in decent, wearable condition.

Do you have to buy the new pair right away? Or is it like a voucher for 15% off of pants?

I was just at BR and didn't see anything I liked.

The fine print says "Through August 12, 2006" so I think it's pretty much what they have in stock right now.
