Chicago Salons?
Permalink Closed

I am going to be in Chicago this weekend and am trying to find a salon.  Can anyone recommend a good salon in Chicago that has a stylist experienced in styling African-American hair?    Some recommended Toss (on E 13th St) or Honey Child (on N Lasalle).  Does anyone have any experience with either? TIA!

I've heard great things about Honey Child, particularly in regards to African-American hair. I've never been there though.

I LOVE Red 7 Salon. The staff are all SO nice and you get free hand massages and candy while you're getting your haircut. The vibe in the salon is really happy and easygoing. And my hair has never looked less than amazing. Their prices are reasonable too (~$65 for a haircut). I'm not African-American so I can't speak to their experience w/African-American hair but it is a really great salon and their stylists are amazing so I'm sure they could hook you up.
