I ordered a dress online and it came today. It fits PERFECTLY..except that the sleeves have this little cap at the end w/ a button and they are WAY too tight.
Is there anything that could be done to fix this? I hate to abandon the dress because of this issue..especially when it fits so perfectly everywhere else.

Hmm..the button is more for show..its on the edge. Opening it doesn't do anything.
The material isn't something that could easily be matched since its a pattern. Sorrow!!
if you wanted to invest the money, you could have a seamstress removing the band and replace it with something else..like piping the dress with another color or something, and put an elastic fabric there. otherwise, i don't know!
(ooorrr...just wear a cardi over it an no one will see the sleeves are tight!)

Hmm..that's an idea. Thanks for all the help. I'll take it to my seamstress. She's pretty reasonable.
Ok, I don't really know how to explain this without making is sound too confusing, but I'll try.
Cut a slit right down the middle of the sleeve, so it would be open on the top of your shoulder. If the fabric looks ok just cut, leave it that way, or if it frays or looks funny fold it like a quarter of an inch under on each side and sew it down, like you would for a hem, just sideways. Then attach 2 pieces of ribbon on the inside of either side of the bottom of the cuts and tie it in a bow. That will give it a "shoulder peek" effect and you can make the bow as tight or loose as you need it too.
I know they sell shirts like this so I will look for a pic.
It would look somehting like this but short sleeved and with a longer cuter bow.
