I am assuming it's the platform that is throwing you? I guess I look at it the same way I do chunky/stacked heels or wedges. I wore both when they weren't "in style" because they were my comfort preference & I'll continue to wear them when the mags call them "out". If they were comfortable - and they are surely cute -- I'd get them. At that price I don't think you could go wrong.

No, I dont think they re too trendy. Kate Spade is selling shoes just similiar to those you just posted. I am seriously considering of getting them because of the comfort and the platform that I feel I can get away with.
I know you said you already bought them...but just to make you feel better- I think they go great with your funky vintage dresses and overall style no matter how "trendy" they might be. I think you can get tons of wear out of them and are perfect for running around with the baby, stylish but comfortable.

so i got them, and they are super cute, but really cheaply made. (i guess, obviously, for the price) the strap broke within ten minutes of wearing them, but they are backordered if i want to exchange them...i am thinking of just supergluing the shoes myself! (it's not the actual strap -- but the loop where the strap goes through)
they are tts and really comfy.
part of me wants to hold out for the ks pair posted (and hope for a sale), but i want to wear these for fall...
