so i just got a pair of snakesking shoes- is there anything special I need to do to them? I'm afriad that the scales are going to dry out and fall off or something, should I moisturize them somehow or something?

Yep. Snakeskin is a little fragile. I'm pretty sure you can use a regular leather care product for snake though. When I sold shoes (way back in the day), we'd tell people to treat them before wearing, and then store in plastic baggies (inside the shoe box, if you keep your boxes) to keep the moisture in. HTH
