Necklace for Dress
Permalink Closed

I'm a bridesmaid in my sister's wedding.  We are wearing a strapless, tea length, lilac colored dress and silver strappy sandals.  As a gift to the bridesmaids, she wants to get everyone a necklace they can wear for the wedding and hopefully afterwords as well.  We looked at a bead store tonight and found some cute fresh water pearl necklaces but weren't completely sold.  Any ideas for cute necklaces?  It would have to be under $50.

The dress is on the dessy website (dessy.com), style 2015.  I couldn't copy the pic.

Too played out? I still wouldn't mind having one. I like the idea of pearls of some sort.

I think pearls are classic and a great gift.  They also look really nice on bridesmaids at weddings.  My cousin went with some funky/chunky jewelry and it was not very nice looking and I have yet to wear it again. My friend got married this past weekend and did the pearl thing and it was really nice looking and something the bridesmaids will wear over and over again.

Way over your budget, but I love J.Crew's line of wedding jewelry. Here's their version of the classic pearl necklace:

what about a longer string of pearls- like an opera length- that you can wrap a few times? I have some that I wear liek that all the time and love the classiness of the pearls combined with the funkiness of the layers.
