Chanel ballet flats-How to protect them?

So I bought a pair of chanel ballet flats a couple months ago but I'm too afraid to ruin them so I have not even worn them yet. They have fabric, I think canvas, sides with the leather toe. Is there something I can spary or treat them with that will work on the canvas and leather so they don't get dirty? Thanks ladies, they look so sad sitting in my closet everyday.

Sorry Jen, I've never had canvas shoes, but maybe you could take them to a cobbler (is that the right word?) and see what they recommend?
