Small vs. Medium Andrea Bruekner Saddle bag
Permalink Closed

I need a new bag since the Hayden Harnett Lorca flap bag didn't work out for me.  I like the Andrea Bruekner saddle bag but I'm unsure about size - whether I should get the small or medium.  I'm used to bags on the smaller side but I'm not sure whether the small is too small.

In the first pic below, the bag looks too small but in the second pic, it looks a little bigger:

I feel like the medium looks too big in this pic:

For owners of this bag, what size do you have and do you like it?

Per Revolve, the small is 11"W x 7"H x 4"D. The medium, per NessaLeeStyle is 15(l) x 7(h)

I'm a big bag girl (my last bag was the Hayden-Harnett Havana hobo), and I honestly feel that the small AB would way too small to be of any use during the day. I'd definitely go for the medium...I was strongly considering it myself.

I think Carmenb513, ayo, Christine and Collette, among other girls have the AB and would probably be able to tell you better about the size thing though.

Yep, I have the medium in both tan and white and I love them both. I feel like the small is too small IRL. The bag is very slouchy and soft, so the appearance of size varies greatly depending on how many things you stuff into your bag.

Here's a link to a post with pics of me and the bag, so you can get an idea of the IRL size. I'm 5'4" for reference. HTH!

The small looks really small. I would always rather have a little too much room than not enough. Get the medium.

Edited because after looking @ pictures of the small, I realized the strap drop isn't enough to wear it comfortably on your shoulder.  I've seen Christine's medium IRL and it's gorgeous.  Go w/Medium.

I think the Small is tooooo small, IMO. If you just want to put minimal stuff in it, you might be okay. It would probably be full. Plus there is the issue of small drop for the handle, it would basically be in your armpit if you're going to use it on your shoulder.

The medium is big enough to fit everything you need in it, without being humongous. Plus the leather is gathered, so the bag looks "poofier" than it really is.

i have the ab medium saddle in black and i dont like it anymore. i thought it was cute first but after using it for a week, i changed my mind, and since i took the tags off, i couldnt return it. im actually trying to sell it. i think that if you're more of a small bag person, then the medium would be a bit big on you. but the small looks really small too, so maybe search for a different bag?

and what didnt you like about the hh lorca flap bag? i have this bag in mulberry and i love it way more than my ab.

pm me if anyone is interested in taking the ab saddle bag in black medium off my hands...thanks

I have the medium, as I've said, and I love it. The picture of the medium bag you posted looks all wrong - the bottom part on mine doesn't stretch out that much from left to right, if that makes sense. Mine looks more like the 1st pic of the small bag you posted, only obviously larger.

The girls are right, IMO. The strap drop looks very small, and I don't think carrying a bag right under your armpit would be comfortable. I have a Coach purse with a short strap, and any time I use it it ends up right below my armpit, which is quite annoying and uncomfortable.
