It is so hard to dress for work in the summer. It's hot outside and freezing inside. Anyone seen some cute cardigans or jackets/blazers that can be worn over tees and tanks? Or any other ideas for layering?
Oh! It is same here too! I even resist wearing skirts because I m afraid to be freezing while I work. I want so badly to wear skirts! I just bring extra sweater in bag to wear over any shirt i m wearing like long V sweater. I have the gray one that I got from Express on sale recently. It is so perfect and neutral. I bring cardigans or jackets that are thin but give me some warmth. just wear them over then once you step outside, you take them off.
Oh also I notice the closed toe shoes does give me teeny bit more warmth than those with open toed shoes, Ha!
Wow! Do we work in the same building!! Haha! It's always freezing in here! I just keep a little black cardigan on my chair. I hate it b/c I have so many cute summer things to wear, but I just don't want to deal with the coldness.... I also wear a lot of peep toe sandals.
omg so is mine. I have had to dig out my long sleeves, cardis, and even sweaters and I'm still freezing. I'm going to start bringing a jacket. It is absolutely riduculous though!!
my office is freezing year round. i keep a small space heater behind my desk to take the chill off. but i also work in a place where you can't really wear a lot of fun stuff. no open toe, shirts can be sleeveless but still have to cover your shoulders. jeans only on fridays. nothing low cut or sheer. must wear khaki or black pants or capris or skirts skirts with no slits only. and we have work shirts that they like us to wear at least 2 times a week. they are polos with our park district logo on the front and the smallest size they come in is a mens small and the only colors are heather grey, forest green, and navy blue. so i usually just throw on a sweatshirt when i get cold at work.
