I plan to watch E-bay for a good deal on either True Religion or Citizens Maternity Jeans.  I shouldn't need them for a few months but if I can get a good "deal" I'll go ahead and get them.  My question is sizing.  Do I get my normal size 28 in these also???  I've noticed at the bottom of some auctions it will say - we suggest ordering up one size from prepregnancy??  This confuses me - anyone have any advice??

I would recommend sizing up to accommodate for weight gain.  That way you can wear them throughout your whole pregnancy.

Before I got pregnant I wore a 27. I didn't need to wear maternity jeans until I was about 4 -5 months along, and I bought a 28. They started to feel a bit tight about the time I hit my 7th month, and I bought a 29 which were a little loose but definitely comfortable, which you'll discover is your main concern once you're that far along. I guess it really depends on how fast and much weight you gain (I gained about 30).

I had a pair of Sevens for my first baby, then a pair of COH for my second, both bought on ebay.  I definitely suggest going at least one or two waist sizes up because by month 6-9, they will likely be snug.  I wish I had gone up two sizes because even though they look okay today here in my last week of pregnancy, loose clothing is SO much more comfortable in those last months.

Also, someone correct me if I am wrong, but I think it's actually A Pea In The Pod (or other maternity boutique) that sews in the maternity band, not the actual jean maker.  I did notice that my bands were completely different.  I have also read that you can have a tailor sew in a maternity band into any pair of jeans.
