Opinions on Botkier - quality etc
Permalink Closed

You probably already read my Botkier troubles email.

If I were to keep this bag.. would it bring me years of enjoyment?

I have never seen a Botkier up close. Please tell me about the quality, leather, weight, size, lining etc.

Will I love it when I see it?

And will these be "in style" for a while?

Seems like a classic to me. But I don't trust myself anymore. Please help!

I have the medium Luxe Trigger in black, and I'm in love with it. I think the quality is amazing, yes you pay a lot for the bag, but the quality, IMO, reflects that price. It's not what I would call heavy, but it does have some weight to it. The leather on my bag is pebbled. I really wanted smooth leather, but I've grown to love it. The leather is also very soft. I'm not sure what the lining is made out of, but it seems quite durable. The size is great for me, it's big without being too big. I have tons of room, and there are a lot of pockets.

You obiviously have a different style bag than I do, but I think you'll probably love it when you see it - I did. I'm not sure about style - it looks like a classic to me, but I'm not very good at judging styles. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck.

ITA with everything wetbandit42 said. I have the Trigger Turbo, and the quality is amazing.

The only thing I would be worried about with the Bianca satchel is the lack of structure. I have no idea what the bag looks like when the paper stuffing isn't in it, but I think the bag may look droopy if you have all your stuff in it.

i feel like i have a pretty nice bag collection (LV, MJ, Dior, Kooba, Bulga, etc...) and i have to say the one that i carry the most BY FAR is my Botkier.

I have the Medium Trigger in Pewter (and a green color) and I think because of the coloring, the size and just the overall details, it's a favorite.

I've had mine for a couple years and i still love it.  I think it's a great bag, and i would keep it as long as it feels comfortable and the color works well with your wardrobe.  I would wait till you see it in real life and then make the decision. I was actually thinking about that bag in the light metallic gold color.

I have seen the Bianca bag you bought IRL. The leather is really soft and luxurious, I think $400 is a great deal and it is very classic. I have the clyde and it has held up really well.

I got a Medium Trigger in Gold a few weeks ago, and I LOVE it. The quality, IMO, is excellent. I love everything about it, and I think it'll last me a long, long time.

I love the Bianca, as well; seems like a classic to me, too.

I have a trigger turbo and the clutch, and while I have yet to carry either I'm in love with them. The Bianca is vey nive and IMO in comparison to the triggers, the leather is softer on the Bianca.

As far as the structure of the bag,it puts me right in the mind of the Daphne by Coach.Which is my favorite black bag.

Don't keep it! It's lovely but it's not worth maxing out your credit card for! Remember that with interest, it will have cost a lot more than $400 by the time you pay it off...

But, that said, once you do have the money, they are great bags. I love my Trigger and think it is really versatile and classic.
