I know several of you have asked about how it went making my announcement to my husband last Friday so here's a little "review"!
We had made plan to go to our favorite resturant. It's a nice, quiet little steak place not far from home. We go often, so he wasn't expecting anything. I called the day before and asked if I could get the help of the hostess and waitress. I explained what I wanted - the lady on the phone about died of excitement and it was set. I called Friday and confirmed that the waitresses all knew what would be going on. My husband dropped me off at the door - as normal and went to park. I walked in and pulled a baby bottle out of my purse and handed it to the hostess who hid it. After being seated and and ordering our drinks the waitress who had gotten our table walks over with my water and his tea, which is in the baby bottle. He asks her why and then looks at me and starts smiling from ear to ear and says - "You're pregnant?" I said "Yep!" We hugged - he started getting teary eyed and then we sat and talked and ate. He's been freaking out ever since. He was dying to tell his parents. So we decided to tell his and mine for "Fathers Day". We went to the Baby Gap and bought 2 little onsies that said "I Love Grandpa" (we also grabbed the Grandma versions just so no one would feel left out). We ate with my mother and father-in-law and brother and sister-in-law that Sat. night. We gave my father-in-law his tennis shoes (gift) and inside the shoes we put the onsies. They freaked out! Then we stopped by my parents house and did the same little trick with them. They are all so excited. I have annoucements that I was planning to mail in another week to let everyone else know but our parents are so excited that random people are finding out so I mailed the announcements today. I'm nervous because I'm not that far along - but I just pray that God will talke care of me and the baby!
