eye drops for irritated eyes?

Anyone have any recs on eye drops or anything to use- my eyes are starting to get red after wearing my contacts all day- i've never had this problem before and just switched over to a really high oxygen lens- so i don't think its the oxygen- might be an ingredient in the material though that irritates it.  Anything that takes away the red and also soothes eyes for contact users???

Lynnie - maybe it is not your contact lenses.  Maybe you have allergies.  I have allergies.  Usually I just sneeze, but this year my eyes are irritated, red, teary and itchy.  Try allergy medecine like Benadryl (sp?).  Maybe that might help.

its only a small area on one eye that is red...i think its an irritation- it goes away for a while when i take out my contacts.

The best contact lens drops IME are Allergen Refresh Contacts. My eyes get irritated sometimes because there's very little humdity out here and I wear my contacts for more than 12 hours frequently.

My eye doc recommended Similisan drops (I am a contact wearer).  There are different varieties, but the ones for dry eyes are great.  Target carries them, as would other drug stores.  I swear by these and keep them in my car, handbag & office.
