Where is the serial number inside? I bought my speedy 1 year ago this month and never really cared but now I'm curious. I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

I have a Damier Speedy 30 which is very brand new, but who knows, maybe the date code on yours is in the same place as it is in mine. It would make sense, right?

If you lift the inside pocket on my Speedy, the date code is embossed on the leather piece on the right that attaches the handle. Right above the brass button. You might want to look to see if it is the same on yours.

Yup, Speedy's datecode is located there underneath the pocket. And in case you were wondering, the 1st 2 letters is the factory name. If yrs was made in the USA it's probably SD- San Dimas, California. Usegirl, yrs was made in France(All the 1st generation Damiers were made in France). The 1st and 3 number is the month and then the 2nd and 4th number is the yr...


So SD1016= San Dimas Nov 2006. (I share the same birth month of my Speedy!)

Wow, I've had my Speedy 30 since March '05, and I never know about that date thing!! Mine is San Dimas, December '04. Very cool...
