trying to round out my summer wardrobe. anyone seen cute options for the following things...
denim shorts... i've recently realized that i look way better in shorts than capris. looking for a slimmer cut, bemuda length. flexible on price.
summer going out tops. i need two or three to round out my wardrobe, nothing too boxy, preferably something with an empire waist. and i definitely don't want a tunic top. cheaper is better, but i'd be willing to pay more for a great top.
the seven denim skirt. does anyone have the style info? i'd like to see if i can call nordstrom and have them locate one for me, since it's not on their site. i live kind of far from nordies, so it's not really worth it to take the trip to hunt it down, unless i know it's there in my size.
going out bag. this is harder. ideally it would be something in a neutral color that can be worn with either black or brown. large enough to hold a small wallet and a cell phone. it'd be awesome if it were a shoulder bag.
Not sure on your size and what your Macy's is like but my Macy's was carrying that 7 skirt. I saw it there a few weeks ago but only in size 25. You might be able to have them call around also if Nordies doesn't help you out. I know Shopchicago and Nicoley both have the skirt and can help you with the style number.
hey honey- we're looking for a lot of the same things- namely the going out tops and going out bags.. i've had a hard time!!! I still haven't found a going out bag (use my huge vintage gucci so far, doh, at least it fits a change of flip flops if my shoes start to hurt), but i found a cute silk jersey going out tank top at the phillip lim sample sale. maybe hit up sample sales and boutique summer sales. Also, i have some cute vintage dresses that i wear instead of tops because i can't find many i like- usually just from ebay or beacon's closet in brooklyn. I also have this top from old navy in grey and cream- i sized up and its really soft- and looks great with my black j brand jeans and jewelry - i got the medium (i'm about a size 4) and i can't reccommend it enough- espec. for $12, looks SO much better on- perfect length, perfect fit, etc:
thanks ladies. the search continues, but i may have found a solution to the bag issue.
detroit: i really like the first two bags you posted.
m3baker: i like that bag too. ugh i'm so indecisive.
shopchicago & aurora: thanks for the info. on the skirt. i know the macy's near me won't have it, but maybe i can call them & nordies and find it.
lynnie: i like that old navy top. i was in old navy this weekend & didn't see it. i've been doing dresses a lot, but i want to find some alternatives too.
