ANNOUNCING A NEW ADDITION TO STYLETHREAD!

I know some of you will be happy to hear that stylethread now has a spin-off site especially for Moms!


The new site will be called mamastyle (thank you, Erin, for helping me come up with a name!) and will launch sometime this summer.


All I have up right now is a bare-bones forum (all categories and descriptions subject to change), and the mamastyle.com url leads to the ST homepage.  Reason being is that I want your input in regard to what it should be before I build it.


Whether or not you're a Mom, please head on over to http://mamastyle.activeboard.com/ and share your ideas for forum categories/descriptions, general site content, or any other brilliant ideas you may have.

Looks great! I'm totally excited about posting there. Fashion becomes a whole new thing with whole new issues (um, hello belly flab!) once you are a mom.


Maybe a brag area where proud mamas can post pics, brag about new milestones, announce births, etc. I host another baby forum and there are tons of those types of posts. Also, I might have missed it but a place to poll baby names.

Wow!  That looks great, detroit!  It looks to me like you have all the bases covered--from toys and entertainment to parenting, style, etc.  Great job and great idea!  I hope all the moms and soon-to-be-moms still continue to post on Stylethread!

the new site is in no way supposed to separate us, but to provide a more in-depth leg to stylethread.  I also think the the interests of the ST mom go beyond just being a mom, so I can't imagine current ST members' interests would be confined to one community or another - this is just another facet to our present ST culture. sure - new people may show up there that are interested in that site only, but I would imagine the true STers will still consider ST the "main" site.
