Need help with decorating

I need help finding something to hang over my bed. Preferably a print or something else art-y. I had a beachy print before but I'm not a fan and want to get something new. I'm open to anything, but nothing too cutesy. I would love something dramatic or unexpected (however I understand my decor doesn't really lend itself to that). And not a mirror because I already have one of those above my dresser. And since I'm a struggling law student, the cheaper the better.


Here are pics I posted a while ago when I got new bedding. Polly is doing her best come-hither, bodouir pose.

Here's some prints I found from Ikea - you could always just go buy a cheaper frame and put it on your wall.  That's what I did in my first apartment.

You could get a movie poster and frame it - old ones in particular look great. Pick a movie you love so the poster will have more meaning to you, maybe even one from a country you have visited.


I've never ordered from them myself but www.allposters.com has tons of different ones, a lot of them around $15-$30.

How about making a wall hanging out of fabric...this site has some great Marimekko wall hanging kits...you could even make your own...maybe you have some great vintage Lilly Pulitzer fabric?

Cool idea! For over our bed we decided to hang starfish, I tied raffia on each end and kind of looped them. It looks cute!
