Okay-could Father's Day be the hardest holiday to shop for or what (maybe it's my dad who is just hard to buy for? )? Anyway, I need ideas for what to buy my dad for Father's Day. Can everyone post their ideas or what you are buying YOUR dad? I need inspiration....
I have the same problem here! My dad has way too many ties, shirts and thingamajigs, so this year I was thinking about getting a basket and filling it with his favorite snackie foods (cheeses, rustic breads, hummus, babaganoush, dolmadas), a mixed CD of 70's music, and a photo collage of our family.
My dad is so hard to buy anything for, all I'm doing is going home to see him, making him cookies with butterfingers crumbles in them (I don't know how that will work out, but I'm hoping it will work out well because it's his favorite candy!) and obviously spending the day however he wants to.

This year I got him a t-shirt and a work shirt. I already sent it and my sister says he has worn them already, so good choice from me! I dislike giving gadgets since they usually just sit somewhere and never get used. I also have sent goodies which get eaten, but usually more by other family members so that's why I like to give clothes.
I asked my dad what he wanted and he said a gift certificate to this store in OKC. I ordered it and he already received it and is happy. Guess that is all that matters.

My dad is getting an ipod Nano and Itrip. Not just from me, but my other 3 siblings too. He uses itunes a lot to burn his own cds so this would be a nice complement. Plus, he specifically asked for one so this Father's Day is pretty easy.
Another thing I always give him his gift cards to resturants at the mall. When he can, he likes to eat lunch at this one mall so I get him giftcards to Chik-fil-A, Moes, and Starbucks that he can use when he doesn't have cash. Not very exciting, but they're practical and he loves to get them.
Well my dad still has shirts with the tags on them so no clothes for him. He works at the hospital so he never has time to actually enjoy his clothes and when he does he wears the same ones over again because he doesnt like taking off the tags on clothes I dont think I am related to him! But anyways I gave my mom the idea to buy him the Croc shoes, hopefully they will help him when he is standing all day at work to be more comfortable.
And another idea I thought of was a GC to a massage place since he is always so tired.
i bought my dad a swimsuit...kind of simple but he has everything! He buys whatever clothes he wants and if he doesn't like something we buy him he refuses to wear it.
Then only thing he won't buy himself is a swimsuit...so i took care of that for him.
